How to Ask the Right Questions with Angus Nelson
Saturday Sep 25, 2021
Saturday Sep 25, 2021
Season 5 is holding nothing back, and this episode featuring Angus Nelson is no exception. He blew our minds, motivated us, inspired us, taught us, and made us laugh.
When we enter a conversation with curiosity and an open mind, it’s disarming. It shows the other person that you value their thoughts and feelings, and it opens the door to trust. When we ask the right questions, we create an entirely different dynamic, and Angus gives us the tools to get started.
More than likely you'll listen to this episode more than once -- there's so much GOLD in this one!
Our guest...

Business Lessons From Life with Host Megan Powers
Sunday Sep 19, 2021
Sunday Sep 19, 2021
This our very first "no guest" episode! It's an idea host Megan has been toying with -- to add a third episode each month that's a very brief recap on recent marketing news or a "what I learned" recently sort of thing. We really look forward to your feedback if this is something you'd like more of as a supplement to the two episodes per month we normally publish.
Megan had a BIG birthday recently and through that adventure there were a few things that occurred to her that are life / business lessons. It's just about 12-minutes long, and she also did the editing herself on this one, so please forgive if it's a little less smooth than normal:).
Let us know what you think via DM on the @MakeAMarketer Twitter or @MeganPowers Twitter (she also gives her email you can get if you listen).
Megan's Blog - she's a writer too!

Personal Branding Can Drive Sales (& SO Much More!) with Cass McMann
Wednesday Sep 01, 2021
Wednesday Sep 01, 2021
Have you ever thought about how your personal brand might affect sales? We talk about so much more on this episode, but our guest's insight on how our personal brand is a reflection on everything is super interesting!
"...so when you think you work for a company, you're really working in the best interest of them. And, unfortunately, some organizations just don't put their people at the center. And so we as individuals have a responsibility to ourselves, I believe, to put ourselves at the center of what we do. And so your brand is doing that -- in every way..."
Truly, this episode gets DEEP in a way you might not expect, given the title of the show. We would LOVE to hear what you think! If you comment on our Twitter, we would love, love, love that!
"...be brave and put your authentic self in the world... the world needs you."

We don't all have a linear career path. Some people crushing the digital marketing space were once elementary school teachers. Others worked to catch bad guys with the government before walking down the road of marketing--the latter is this episode's guest!
Hearing the journey of someone who has had such an interesting career that was ALSO greatly impacted by a personal tragedy will get you thinking.
One of our live viewers of this broadcast said "I was hanging on her every word!" We think you will too.
